It can be very frustrating if you’re looking for a file and just can’t find it. File types that start with a dot • are by default hidden in your file manager.

In order to see them, you’ll need to configure your settings. Let’s get started below.

1. From within File Manager, click Settings in the top right corner.
2. In the new popup, check or uncheck Show Hidden Files (dotfiles).
3. Click the Save button to save your preference.
