Clearing your Browser Cache

In this article, you can find out how to clear your web browser cache. The web browsers included will be Edge, Brave, Internet Explorer, AOL, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, and Opera. 

Microsoft Edge

  1. From the Tools menu, select Settings.
  2. Click the Privacy and Security Setting.
  3. Under clear browsing data, choose what to clear including cache.
  4. Click Clear.

Brave Browser

  1. From the Tools menu, select Settings.
  2. Click the Additional Settings.
  3. Click on Privacy and Security.
  4. Locate Clear Browsing Data and click.
  5. Choose the Cache and click clear.

Internet Explorer  

  1. From the Tools menu, select Delete Browsing History.
  2. Next to Temporary Internet Files, click Delete files.
  3. Click Yes, and then click Close to exit.

If you’re having trouble try this:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  2. Under the General tab, locate Browser History and click Delete.
  3. Check the box for Temporary Internet Files.
  4. Click Delete, and then click OK to exit.

For older versions try out:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options
  2. Click the General tab.
  3. In the Temporary Internet files section, click Delete Files.

AOL

  1. Select Keyword > Go to Keyword.
  2. Type keyword preferences.
  3. Click Go.
  4. From the dialog box, select Essentials tab > Internet (Web) Options > Set Web browser options and properties.
  5. In the dialog box, select the General tab.
  6. Click Delete Files.
  7. Dialog box: Delete Files: Delete all files in the Temporary Internet files
  8. In the dialog box, select Delete all offline content.
  9. Click OK to close the dialog box.
  10. Click OK to close the remaining dialog box.

Firefox

  1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
  2. From the drop-down menu, choose Everything and make sure Cache is checked.
  3. Click Clear Now.

For older versions try out:

  1. From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
  2. Select the Time Range to clear from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Details to choose what elements to clear.
  4. Select the checkbox for Cache.
  5. Click Clear Now.

Safari

  1. In the Safari browser, select Menu > Preferences.
  2. In the Preferences dialog box, select the Advanced tab.
  3. At the bottom of the Advanced tab, check the Show Develop menu.
  4. Close the Preferences dialog box.
  5. In the Develop menu, select Empty Cache.

Google Chrome

  1. From the Tools menu, click history.
  2. Click on clear browsing data.
  3. Choose cache and clear.

Opera

  1. Click Edit from the Opera menubar.
  2. From the File menu, click Preferences.
  3. Click the History and Cache menu.
  4. Click Cache.
  5. Click OK to close the Preferences menu

NOTE: If you are having issues with any of the browsers, try restarting your computer and retry the process again.
